Memphis, Tennessee- The Start

Snow and get stuck in the ditch

Image
Snow is coming this week and everything is covered with fluffy white snow. It is so beautiful everywhere, I was heading back to home Friday night, I rode with Cody, and everything was completely  covered with the snow, the only thing is I felt as if I was lost. Normally I could tell where am I now with snow covered all the grounds I can barely tell and so I feel lost in the middle of this ocean snow and rely completely on Cody's intuition. what surprise me was how the road now looks like a mess, and there was a car, get stuck in the ditch. It becomes a sudden phenomena during winter season, especially the first time of snow like this. Road becomes really slippery and you have to drive slower and carefully. It is Saturday morning, and snow has stopped falling. usually the road will be ploughed but it's not happening today. We were planning to go to Minnesota State Capitol and Mall of Americas so I had to get up at six. Gees it was weekend for God's sake. Anyway...

Minnesota State Capitol

Today our exchange student cluster had a visit to Minnesota State Capitol which was followed with a fun shopping in the Mall of America, St. Paul. I am not gonna tell how much fun we had, but it's gonna be more like a boring explanation about the historical building named Minnesota State Capitol.  The building is one of the oldest building I have ever visited in my life. The Minnesota State Capitol is:    434 feet long.    229 feet wide.    223 feet high.     The contract for the current capitol was awarded in 1895.    Construction started in 1896.    Alexander Ramsey laid the first cornerstone in 1898.    The dome was completed in 1902.    The building opened in 1905. courtesy: planetware Capitol is Minnesota government building. This is where the state law of Minnesota being debated, written and evaluated. In one of the chamber insid...

Incheon International Airport

Incheon International Airport pictures courtecy: david willems This is to show you the beginning of my experience as an exchange student in United States of America. Honestly, I wasn't feel too excited when I got here, however when I realized I was able to transit in Korea I feel the excitement that I should have felt before. People are kind and smiley the only thing was i couldn't speak Korean. It took me 5 hour air flight before I experienced Incheon, what many people believe as the "best airport in the world." I know nothing about another airport in the world, but still i could tell you it's nice to transit in Incheon. The Flight attendances are all Asian-face and kind, they also keep saying thank you in Korean language. It is what Google translate believes of what they said; 감사를 나타내는, 사은의, but honestly I have no clue at all. I got there at 8:00 KST ( Korean Standard Time) there is 4 hours difference from Indonesian time ( WIB) but I felt more like 6 in t...
