Incheon International Airport

This is to show you the beginning of my experience as an exchange student in United States of America. Honestly, I wasn't feel too excited when I got here, however when I realized I was able to transit in Korea I feel the excitement that I should have felt before. People are kind and smiley the only thing was i couldn't speak Korean.

It took me 5 hour air flight before I experienced Incheon, what many people believe as the "best airport in the world." I know nothing about another airport in the world, but still i could tell you it's nice to transit in Incheon. The Flight attendances are all Asian-face and kind, they also keep saying thank you in Korean language. It is what Google translate believes of what they said; 감사를 나타내는, 사은의, but honestly I have no clue at all.

I got there at 8:00 KST ( Korean Standard Time) there is 4 hours difference from Indonesian time ( WIB) but I felt more like 6 in the morning so after some random browse in Internet, while I was waiting for another plane to USA, i found out that the sun rises at 7.30ish something in Korea.

It was Ramadhan month where moslems are usually fasting during the day and break at dusk, but I couldn't resist the urge to have something to eat. I realized that trapped inside the aeroplane for hours really messed me up. I decided to go change some Dollar bills to Won ( KRW) for a twenty dollar bill I got 23000 won.

I randomly walk around and stopped by a small restaurant that serves some Korean food, I ended up with beef soup, the only menu which has no pork in it. Tadaaa! Culture shock has officially just started. It cost me almost 10,000 KRW that damn soup cost me around 100,000 IDR, but it was a really spicy and delicious soup that I think it worth the cost. That was the only spicy i had for at least the next 3 months, until this post is written. Now, I feel that I would buy the soup for 20 bucks.

I had some more money left and decided to spent it for some calling card and made call to some friends. Korea is really nice. I wish I could go back there sometimes.I really should not judge any country only for about 4 hours observation time, but I want to say that I have a really nice impression about Korea in the very first time. I realize in reality nobody really cares whether a country have a really nice beautiful extraordinary scenery. It is people that matters. It is how a foreign country could make you feel like home. I have no worry about terrorism issue when I step in the airport all the security procedures are respectfully be done. I like and enjoy my transit time so much. Now I should put Korea on my traveling planning, may God read this post haha.
